Yimin Qin , Ph. D., Professor, MBA, scholar of Taishan, born in November 1965,  Jiashan，Zhejiang Province. Studied finishing course in Zhejiang Institute of Silk and Textiles (now Zhejiang Sci-Tech University) From 1981 to 1985, graduated from China Textile University (now Donghua University) as graduate student and was selected to study in the United kingdom. He received a one-year English training in foreign language school in Shanghai in 1985, after that he studied doctoral postgraduate courses in the British  Leeds University, researching the  production method and modification process of chitosan fiber,and received a doctorate inTextile Chemistry. Engaged in postdoctoral research work in the Scottish Institute of Textile Technology (now Heriot-Watt University) from 1990 to 1993 , engaged in alginate fiber and medical dressings research and development work as the company's R & D manager in the United Kingdom Advanced Medical Solutions from 1993 to 1998. Studied at Manchester Business School from 1998 to 2000, and graduated with honors. Engaged in antibacterial properties of silver alginate fiber and medical dressings research and development work, as fiber product manager in  the UK SSL International company from 2000 to 2001. After returning to China in 2002, he taught at Jiaxing University. Presided over the research of Taishan scholar blue industrial plan of Shandong Province, the Ministry of National Bio based fiber projects such as strong base of scientific research projects. In the international and domestic core journals, more than 140 scientific research papers were published and 7 American patents and more than 10 Chinese patent licenses were obtained. The writing of academic monographs "functional medical dressing,"  "alginate" "Medical Textile Materials"and "alginate dressings in clinical application"were  respectively published in 2007, 2008, 2016 and 2017 by Chinese Textile Press, China Light Industry Press, Elsevier press and China Knowledge Publishing House. "brief bilingual course of chemical engineering design" and popular science books "seaweed story" in 2010 and 2016 were published by the Chinese Light Industry Press and knowledge press. He has won the 2012 Qingdao International Cooperation Award, and the 2016 China Textile Engineering Association product development award  and other scientific and technological awards. He was named as the leader of the blue industry plan innovation team in Shandong Province, and the Taishan scholar. Now he takes charge of the director of the State Key Laboratory of Seaweed Bioactive Substances.
